This trip was one for the books
I have to say this trip was one for the books.
Villa Camilla was perfect, comfortable, homey and
equipped with everything we needed to make our stay
complete. The property is centrally located on the
island making it convenient to venture off the
property. The beaches we visited were incredible.
Grace Bay is only a 2 minute walk on the property.
Other beaches we drove to were Sapodilla Bay, Silly
Creek, Three Dolphins on Long Bay Beach and Malcolm
Roads-all incredible. Two of the best snorkeling
reefs on the island are within walking distance
from the back door. We also took a day trip to
North and Middle Caicos and ventured out to Wild
Cow Run, Bambara beach and a few others before
heading back to the ferry. The people on the
islands that we were able to visit with were all
super friendly and willing to give directions or
just stopped to have a conversation. I have to add
our last day there we were able to take a boat ride
out to the 3rd largest reef to snorkel, stopped at
Moon Bay Beach to see the iguanas and snorkeled at
a small shipwreck. I could continue telling you
stories of people we met along the way and how
friendly and welcoming they made us feel. I’ll say
it again. This trip was one for the books-relaxing,
fun, adventurous. We definitely will be back.
Thank you for sharing your property.
If you can get in that place, book it right now!
This property is as unique as can be on Providenciales. A real time capsule. Everyday we were just blown away at the gardens, the beach and the privacy. If you are into getting your own transportation and agenda and you actually find the place available DO NOT HESITATE and book it. Not a luxurious place but it has everything you need and the experience is really unique. A real beach house with your own beach on Grace Bay on Providenciales. No need to say more. We hope we can make it back there. We have fond memories of the place. We travelled the whole island and there is just nothing else like this place. A rare find indeed.
A Beach and Nature Lovers Dream
Villa Camilla is a beautiful place - our family of four stayed in the Upper Guest House for 10 days in April and we loved it! The guest house is bright and clean and we especially enjoyed sitting out on the porch, enjoying the tropical breeze and the stunning ocean view! The villa’s location right on the beach was perfect and we enjoyed many long walks and sunsets! Snorkeling at the Bight/Coral Gardens reef next door and Smiths Reef nearby was spectacular - many colorful fish and coral, spotted eagle rays, green and hawksbill sea turtles. The gardens at Villa Camilla are beautiful - Edson and staff are doing a wonderful job of tending the gardens, which are thriving. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool and watching the resident green heron (we named her Grace) who was often poolside, along with the many other birds attracted to the property, including a night heron (we named Camilla) who visited each evening. While the villa is accessible to restaurants and shopping, and the weekly fish fry, the property still felt secluded and safe. Provo is a beautiful island with many things to do. We enjoyed an eco kayak trip to the mangroves and Little Water Cay with Big Blue Collective, horseback riding in the ocean with Provo Ponies, and walking a potcake puppy at Potcake Place - all were nearby (we recommend renting a car). Our visit to Villa Camilla couldn’t have been better!
Beauty and Privacy Steps from the Beach
Such a beautiful, quaint property with lush foliage and privacy. We enjoyed all the amenities to cook our own meals while enjoying the view from the property. The proximity to the beach is unmatched. A true home away from home with everything you need to enjoy your vacation with peace and privacy. Would recommend to everyone that wants to visit!
Beautiful Property
This place is perfect AND affordable! Secluded, private, beautifully landscaped. Steps from Bight and Grace Bay Beach. Loved having our own private pool and patio. Nicely equipped kitchen. Cool, fun place for drinks and good food right next door (Somewhere Bar). Conveniently located to the IGA Graceway Supermarket. Close to several other restaurants on Lower Bight Road. The property management and onsite caretaker are all extremely nice. Highly recommend this place in Provo!
Great location and grounds
My wife and I had a great 6 days, the view is great, the beach is close and the grounds are very nice. You are very close to everything but in our opinion you still need a car to see the island as taxis are so expensive.
We used the guest house of Villa Camilla and had a total of 6 family members in both apartments
The instructions for arrival were clear. Linda, the owners' representative met us on arrival and gave us a clear introduction to the property. She returned the following day to ensure we had settled in... The property was clean and nicely presented on arrival. The midweek housekeeping was really thorough and the property looked beautiful after the very thorough clean. We loved the wonderful air movement through the property and the great views from the upper deck. We had booked both upper and lower apartments. The little pool was great and used by all our grandchildren every day.
Fabulous location, beautiful gardens, excellent service, security and price!
We just got home from Providenciales. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Camilla upper guest house apartment. The house is located right above the beach between Coral Gardens and The Beach House. It's about 100 yards walk across the property to the beach,. Another 150 yards to the right to Bight Reef snorkeling area and the Somewhere Cafe/Bar. You can walk for miles in either direction on probably the most beautiful beach that I have ever seen. Tour boats will pick you up on your beach for an outing. Walking distance to the Thursday night Fish Fry. It is centrally located for exploring the rest of the island, if you have a car. The view from the upper apartment living room and deck is breathtaking. The house is very open and airy. The interior has not been updated in a while, but everything was neat, clean, functional and comfortable. The loft area would be best for kids. Climbing the ladder after a few rum punches might not be wise! The guest house is on a very large lot with good separation from the main house. It has a it's own gorgeous manicured tropical garden around a very nice dipping pool. You have your own private oasis. We had excellent service from Linda Nayton, the TCI Blue property manager. She was prompt, responsive, friendly and gave us great tips on things to do, restaurants, etc. In addition to a home security alarm service, we had two very nice gentlemen, Edson by night, and Clotier, the gardener, by day, for security and any other assistance needed. They were working out the bugs on a new peripheral alarm system. We felt safe and sound at all times. I did a lot of research, and Villa Camilla is an incredible value for a beachfront property in Providenciales. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic stay in Provo
We had a wonderful time at Villa Camilla. The location was great and provided plenty of privacy, only a 1 minute walk to the beach. Great sunsets from the deck. The property was clean and well maintained, the gardens are beautiful. The Somewhere Cafe is only a short walk along the beach and one can rent snorkel gear from the shop next door at Coral Gardens. Great snorkeling at the reef in front of Coral Gardens. We would highly recommend taking the half day snorkel trip with Island Vibes tours. They pick you in their boat right at the beach. Plenty of great restaurants within a 10 minute drive of the property. We took a day trip to Sapodilla Bay, it's a little hard to find the entrance but it's worth it, stunning blue water. On the way back we stopped at Bugaloo's for lunch on the beach. We would definitely return to Villa Camilla.
Can't Wait to Return!!!
Just wanted to let you know that we deeply enjoyed our stay last week at your guesthouse villa. My wife was in tears when we left. We will definitely be back in the future as we want our daughters to experience the island. I find myself now desiring to go nowhere in the Caribbean but Provo - the island has perfect weather, water, sand, people and relaxing feel. You are very blessed to have the property you have, thank you for allowing us to share your paradise.
We would definitely recommend and go back!
We had an amazing time at Villa Camilla. We felt very safe with the gates and felt so secluded on the private property. It was nice having a little pool to hang at when it was a bit too windy on the beach. Short walk down to the beach and Coral Gardens (snorkeling) we didn't receive a mid week cleaning or fresh beach towels and had to ask for fresh bath towels several days in, but other than that, it's a fantastic place to stay! Great location, right next door to Somewhere Cafe, beach was quiet. Had a lot in the kitchen to use, as well as a small cooler for the beach. We would definitely recommend and go back!
A Beautiful Oasis
Villa Camilla Guest House is a wonderful, quiet, little spot tucked away amidst the busy island life of Provo. The listing did accurately portray the unique ambiance of a "quiet place away" - The property was clean and well-maintained - the local staff was very helpful - I would definitely recommend Villa Camilla to my friends - I biked every morning and rested in the afternoon sun on the "backyard" beach - There are many wonderful restaurants nearby in a variety of price ranges - I had a fabulous week at Villa Camilla Guest House.
Amazing place
The place is amazing - we will be sad to go for sure!
Great view and easy beach access
We enjoyed a wonderful stay last week at your Villa Camilla Guesthouse. Great
view and easy beach access. My favorite was morning coffee on the porch. Or
was it long walks by the ocean? Or a good book while lounging by the pool? We
had wanted to “escape winter” and did we ever. Also, I’ll take this opportunity to
mention that Rose was wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Next year probably
can’t work for us, but I hope we’ll be back again soon. Till then we have a bundle
of memories to savor.
Wishing we could stay longer!
Thanks for everything! I just wanted to say thank-you for the rental. We’re
currently waiting at security at the airport and we’re all wishing we could stay
longer! Rose was very helpful and Edson was so pleasant, we really appreciated
meeting him. Snorkeling early in the week.
Made friends with little turtle snorkeling
The vacation in T&C was great! Just what I needed. I particularly enjoyed the
privacy of the villa, but there was always someone on hand if I had questions -
the staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the apartment - it was very
tropical, comfortable and very clean. It contained everything that anyone would
need for their stay. You were right, the view from the upper guest house balcony
was worth the move upstairs. And there was always a breeze up there…. I loved
that there was a protected reef within a two-minute walk from the apartment. I
started every day with an early morning snorkel and made friends with a little
turtle. When it was time for dinner, I walked to the beach, turned either left or
right and went to dinner at a different resort every day. Somewhere where I could
watch the sunset. Thank you for taking care of me.
Turks and Caicos Away From the Crowds
This was a great place to stay because you are located just far enough away
from the resorts that you pretty much have the beach to yourself, yet you are
close enough to the resorts that it's easy to walk up to their restaurants. I
appreciated the mid-week cleaning, and the grounds were kept very clean as
well. It had a lovely deck to sit on, a nice pool to cool off in if you wanted to stay
around the house, and it was just a short walk down a path to the beach….I
would highly recommend this place if you like privacy and want to enjoy Turks
and Caicos away from the crowds.
